Infants


The activities we plan for the children, the way we organize the environment, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule, and talk with the children are all designed to accomplish the goals of the curriculum and give your child a successful start in school. We help the children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners. We are teaching them how to learn, not just now, but all through their lives.


Teacher/Child Interaction. Teachers make frequent eye contact with the infants as well as responding to the infant’s cues, curiosity, and language attempts. The teachers narrate events--tell the children what they are seeing, hearing, tasting touching, smelling, doing, feeling and thinking while the teacher is interacting with the infant. The teachers frequently play with, talk to, sing to, and do finger-plays with the infants. The teachers read books to the infants every day. Infants are engaged with simple materials that help them develop fine and gross motor strengths and skills as well as materials that engage their senses.
Daily Report.Each day your child’s primary caregiver will provide you with a daily report of what your child ate, diaper changes, naps and other information about your child’s day.
